HCHS Holds Athletic Signing Ceremony
Seven Harris County High School (HCHS) student-athletes signed letters of intent on March 19, at the school’s auditorium, committing to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Seven Harris County High School (HCHS) student-athletes signed letters of intent on March 19, at the school’s auditorium, committing to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
HCHS Athletic Director Mindy Johnson welcomed students, parents, and attendees to the signing ceremony, expressing gratitude for their support in honoring the accomplishments of these athletes.
The following students were recognized for their achievements:
Swimming:
Mia Bailon – Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Va.
Golf:
Kadi Huguley – Point University, West Point, Ga.
Football:
Bishop Adams – Point University, West Point, Ga.
Trevor Boutwell – Point University, West Point, Ga.
Demetrius Brooks – Carson-Newman University, Jefferson City, Tenn.
Josh Jones – Albany State University, Albany, Ga.
Braxten Love – Sewanee: The University of the South, Sewanee, Tenn.

Jenkins Named Interim HCHS Baseball Coach
Harris County High School has named Coach Brandon Jenkins as interim Head Baseball Coach for the Tigers for the 2026 season.
Jenkins was selected following the death in January of Head Coach Tony Dimitri, who was killed in an ATV accident in Hamilton.
Cauley Awarded Ms. Georgia Football by Score Atlanta
The second-annual Score Atlanta High School Football and Flag Football Awards highlighted some of the greatest coaches, assistant coaches, tackle football and flag football players, each whom left a lasting impact on their respective programs this season.
On the football field, where the toe meets the leather, so-to-speak, the races for Mr. and Mrs. Georgia Football garnered attention in throughout each of their respective football seasons for both flag and tackle contenders.
HCHS Sports Update
The following events/matches and games have been scheduled for the week of December 4th – December 11th, 2025:
Basketball
The Season continues with the following:
December 12th – Harris County vs Hardaway at Hardaway High School (Columbus GA), start time 6:00pm for the Girls team and 7:30 for the Boy’s team.
Wrestling
Boys
December 5th & 6th, The King of the County Competition will take place at the Harris County High School Gym, start tome on Dec. 5th 5:00pm and on Dec. 6th 9:00am.
December 9th Harris County vs LaGrange and Pacelli High Schools at the STC (Science and Technology Center). Start time 5:30pm.
